THE RECTOR

Mohammad Kabir, Nabade mni, Architect, was born 11th November, 1960 in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, Nigeria. He attended Government Secondary School Birnin Kebbi (now Nagari College) from 1974 to 1979 and passed out with division one. He was at the College of Arts and Science, Sokoto where he obtained his Advanced Level certificate and proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture in 1985. He subsequently enrolled for a Master of Science degree in Architecture at the same university and graduated in January, 1988. After the mandatory one year National Service in Kaduna State, he was employed as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Architecture Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in December, 1988. In November 1992 he left the services of the university as Lecturer II to join Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi as a Senior Lecturer. He became the Director of the College of Environmental Studies (CES) in 1994 and Deputy Rector (Academic) in 1996. He was appointed as the Rector of the Polytechnic in June, 1999 and was re- appointed in June 2003. Following the takeover of the Polytechnic by the Federal Government in January 2007, he was re-appointed Rector for a final term of four- years in November, 2008. He attended several local and international conferences and training workshops. He received several honours and awards from various associations and non- governmental organisations. He served in various capacities including member of the Governing Board of Science and Technical Education Board, Birnin Kebbi; and the College of Agriculture, Zuru. He was a Member of the Implementation Committee for the Establishment of Kebbi State University of Science and Technology and Kebbi State Hajj Delegation to Saudi Arabia. He served as the Chairman of the Council of Heads of Polytechnics in Nigeria (COHEADS) and Member of the Governing Board of NBTE, Kaduna. He attended the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru Jos for the Senior Executive Course 33 and awarded Member of the National Institute (mni) in November, 2011. Mohammad Kabir Nabade was appointed pioneer Rector of the Polytechnic in September, 2013. He is happily married and blessed with children. He had visited United Kingdom, Namibia, Malaysia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Liberia and Cuba.


THE DEPUTY RECTOR

Sani Abdullahi (Okyos) was born in Dakingari in 1955. He attended Dakingari Primary School from 1964 to 1970. In 1971, he gained admission into Governmet Science Secondary School, Farfaru, Sokoto and passed out in 1975. In 1977 Sani Abdullahi was at The Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi where he studied ND Electrical Engineering. He enrolled for HND graduated in 1982. In the same year he was called to service. He did his NYSC at The Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi in 1983, and was absorbed at the institution. Sani Abdullahi was at University of Technology, Met-France in 1982 from October to December on an Educational Exchange Programme. In 1986 he became the course coordinator for HND Electrical Engineering at The Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi. He was appointed Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering Department from 1988-1989. Between 1989 -1990 he was the Workshop Manager and Member of Academic Board. From September, 1990 to April, 1991, Sani Abdullahi held the post Ag. Director of Works and Services. From 31st August, 1995 to 24th September 1997, Sani Abdullahi rose to the position of Chief Lecturer and Dean of School of Industrial Engineering.
Sani Abdullahi was appointed Chairman, Kebbi State Sports Council from the year 2000 to June, 2003. From 2008 to 2012 he was again appointed the head of Department, Electrical Engineering and Dean School of Industrial Engineering of the Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi. Sani Abdullahi was appointed Deputy Rector, Kebbi State Polytechnic Dakingari as the Deputy Rector of the Institution in September, 2013


THE REGISTRAR

Haliru Bello Dakingari was born on August 20th, 1964 in Dakingari town, Suru Local Government Area Kebbi State of Nigeria. He attended Dakingari Town Primary School from 1972 to 1978 and he proceeded to College of Arts and Arabic Studies, Sokoto in 1978 where he obtained Grade II Certificate in 1983. Haliru Bello Dakingari was at the United Bank for Africa between 1983 and 1984 before proceeding to College of Education, Sokoto for his NCE program which he completed in 1988. Haliru Bello took teaching appointment with the state Ministry of Education, and in 1992 he gained admission into the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto for his degree in Islamic Studies and graduated in 1995
Haliru Bello joined the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero in 2007 where he rose to the rank of deputy Registrar. He was subsequently appointed as the pioneer Registrar of the Kebbi State Polytechnic Dakingari in September 2013


THE BURSAR

Isah Shu'aibu was born in Lailaba, Argungu Local Government Area on June 30th, 1973. He attended Lailaba Model Primary School from 1979 to 1985 where he obtained his Primary School Certificate. Isah Shu'aibu proceeded to Government Unity Secondary School Gummi, Zamfara State from 1985 to 1991. In 1992, he gained admission into the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto and bagged Bsc Management Studies in 1997. In the same year, Isah Shu'aibu was deployed to Osun State for his National Youth Service. He enrolled at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University for Masters in Business Administration and graduated in 2002. Then joined the services to his state Kebbi, as a teacher with State Ministry of Education. He was posted to Government Girls Secondary School, Augie; in 2004, and transferred to Kanta Unity College, Argungu. In pursuance of his choosen profession, Isah Shu'aibu moved to the Kebbi State Ministry of Finance in 2005. In his quest to join the global trend in Information Technology, Isah Shu'aibu enrolled at the Kebbi State Ministry of Education Computer Centre in Birnin Kebbi to obtain Diploma in Computer in 2010, and enrolled with the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Management in the same year. He completed the program in 2011 and proceeded to the Nigerian College of Accounting, Jos where he obtained the professional certificate MANAN in 2015. In September, 2013, Isah Shu'aibu was appointed as the pioneer Bursar of the Institution. He has numerous Research Publications, notable among them, are "Revenue Generation in Nigeria Problems and Perspective" (A Case Study of UBA Plc, Argungu Branch) and "Bank Lending Policy and Bad Debt Managent", (A Case Study of UBA Plc, Argungu Branch)


THE LIBRARIAN

Hadiza muhammad Bande, an indegine of Koko Besse was born in Sokoto State. She attended Besse/Zaria Kala-Kala Primary School, after which she proceeded to Federal Government Girls College, Benin City for her secondary education
Hajiya Hadiza obtained her First degree in Library Science at the Bayaro University, Kano in 1991 and obatained her Post Graduate Diploma at the Waziru Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi in 2002. Hadiza obtained her Master's degree in 2004 in Public administration from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. In 2013 she was at Bayaro University for another Masters degree in Information Management, which she sucessfully completed in 2015. Hajiya Hadiza is currently undergoing a Master's degee in Library and Information Science at the Bayaro University Kano. Hajiya Hadiza has worked as a teacher with Kebbi state Ministry of Education. She was a library sataff at the Waziru Umar Federal Polytechnic before proceeding to the Local Government Service Commission as a Local Government Secretary for fourteen years In September 2013, Hajiya Hadiza She was appointed as the Pioneer Polytechnic Librarian.
